Our Safety Program
Brint Electric’s safety program is monitored by an in-house manager and guides every service we provide.
At Brint Electric we take safety seriously and are committed to the highest levels of safety for our employees and customers. Safety has been ingrained into Brint’s culture and is a part of our everyday processes. As a high-performance company one of our key measures of performance on a job, is safety. Brint Electric employs a full-time Safety Director and are members of ISNetworld and Avetta.
The biggest way to increase a culture of safety is to get each employee from the top down involved in and committed to learning and empowered to speak about safety concerns. When your entire team is committed to safety, they value safety practices because they have a better understanding of the benefit for themselves, their fellow employees, the company, and our customers. Every week each employee is involved in a safety training session where a new safety topic is discussed as well as any safety concerns at a job site or at one of our offices or warehouses can be reviewed.
“Since you can’t physically pick up safety and take it with you to a job site, it needs to become a mindset. The best way to develop a mindset is to create a positive culture around safety. Once you do that, it becomes second nature”.
Ray Morris – Safety Director
At Brint Electric we believe that safety strategies aren’t static, and are constantly looking for new ways to enhance our best practices. Some of the latest innovations embraced by our team include:
As a company that strives to continually improve all aspects of our core business functions, we developed an emergency QR code program. We install QR codes unique to each person inside each hard hat. If an emergency would occur on the job site, the foreman or lead safety person can remove the injured person hard hat and scan the QR code with their phone. The QR code pulls up all the safety information instructions as well as emergency contacts.
Another example of Safety Best Practices are our Safety Task Analysis Cards. These safety cards are used at every job site as a check list to ensure proper safety procedures are followed. These cards are reviewed by the Safety Director and job site Foreman periodically to ensure safe practices are being followed.
Keeping our employees safe is a top priority at Brint Electric. That’s why we’ve won the ABC National Safety Award for four straight years. Contact Brint today to learn more about our best practices.
